For those of us who fight the battle of the bulge, or have complications due to it, looking for that magic pill is one of the things many of us wish for. Gastric bypass didn't appeal to me because those that did it, it sounds like abject misery to be focused so much on food intake, when for many of us who are overweight, the idea is to be liberated from the preoccupation of food.

And now these different pills and injections. no thanks to those either. If I could find something that could make me not want to eat, but have no adverse effects, I would. But a big part of big pharma appears to be extracting as much money from the "useless eaters" as possible.

An extra warning, as a type 2 diabetic, I was put on Tragantamet late June early July 2023. I lasted six weeks- I ended up with gastro paresis, lost a kilo/ week despite ideal body weight. Here I am some 17 months later still suffering intermittent gastro paresis and endless gastrointestinal problems. This drug is a GLP-1 class drug.
