Florida Surgeon General Issues Health Alert After Analysis Reveals 'Substantial Increase' in COVID Vaccine Injuries
Florida's Dept. of Health said there has been a 1,700% increase in reports to VAERS following the COVID vaccine rollout, and a 4,400% increase in life-threatening conditions.
Florida’s Department of Health on Feb. 15 issued a health alert after an analysis revealed a “substantial increase” in reports to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) from Florida following the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines.
VAERS is a voluntary reporting system co-managed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) designed to detect vaccine safety signals. Due to significant underreporting, VAERS is estimated to represent only 1% of actual adverse events.
In Florida alone, there was a 1,700% increase in VAERS reports after the authorization of COVID-19 vaccines, compared to a 400% increase in overall vaccine use during the same period. In addition, reports of life-threatening conditions increased by over 4,400% — a number that has not been seen with other vaccines.
In a letter to FDA commissioner Robert Califf and CDC director Rochelle Walensky, Florida’s Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo asked U.S. health agencies to be transparent with healthcare professionals so that physicians can accurately discuss the risks of COVID vaccines with their patients.
“Communication between physicians and patients is a standard ethical practice that is fundamental to public health,” Ladaop wrote. “Health care professionals should have the ability to accurately communicate the risks and benefits of medical intervention to their patients without fear of retaliation by the federal government.”
Ladapo said the federal government’s response is unprecedented. “We have never seen this type of response following previous mass vaccination efforts pushed by the federal government,” Ladaop wrote. “Even the H1N1 vaccine did not trigger this sort of response.”
Ladapo believes Florida is not alone. Academic researchers around the globe are observing concerning safety signals and adverse events associated with COVID-19 vaccines.
“According to a recent study, mRNA COVID-19 vaccines were associated with an excess risk of serious adverse events, including coagulation disorders, acute cardiac injuries, Bell's palsy, and encephalitis, to name a few,” Ladaop wrote. “This risk was 1 in 550, much higher than other vaccines.
“To claim these vaccines are ‘safe and effective’ while minimizing and disregarding the adverse events is unconscionable,” he added.
Florida’s Dept. of Health cited two other studies that found an increase in adverse events. An April 2022 study in Scientific Reports found an increase in acute cardiac arrest and other heart problems following mRNA COVID vaccination.
A June 2022 study in JAMA assessed the risk of blood clotting disorders related to COVID-19 vaccines and found preliminary evidence of an “increased risk of both coronary disease and cardiovascular disease.”
While the CDC has acknowledged a potential safety signal for ischemic strokes among individuals 65 and older following vaccination with bivalent booster shots, they have entirely ignored research showing the harm of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines.
“We have never seen this type of response following previous mass vaccination efforts pushed by the federal government,” Ladapo wrote. “Even the H1N1 vaccine did not trigger this sort of response.”
Because of the magnitude of the increase in adverse events compared to vaccine use, Ladaop said the rise in adverse events cannot be attributed to other factors.
Ladaop said Florida will continue to “shed light” on the safety and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines, which may pose an “imminent threat to those with preexisting conditions.” The state will also promote nutrition, exercise and healthy habits to prevent COVID-19.
Ladapo may have been passively addressing the fact that U.S. regulatory agencies have not only failed to promote common sense principles of disease prevention, they have taken active steps to prevent people from doing the things necessary to prevent disease by forcing them to wear masks, stay indoors, and forgo exercise.
“I request that your agencies promote transparency in health care professionals to accurately communicate the risks these vaccines pose,” Ladaop wrote. “I request that you work to protect the rights and liberties that we are endowed with, not restrict and diminish them.”
If we could make America Florida and appoint Ladapo as the U.S. Surgeon General now, that would be great.
I hope Florida's Department of Health got its math right. A 1700% increase is an 18-fold increase, and a 400% increase is 5-fold increase, so that means an 18/5-fold (= a 3.6-fold) increase in adverse event reports per vaccine administered, which is a 260% increase.
Time will expose it all and be too late for many. I can only pray that your information saves some lives before they too jump off the cliff!
Many of my TRUTHFUL family and friends wish they hadn't jumped!
